We at ARENATE have decided to make exact templates for each of our items where the exact size is important (especially for rings and bangles)
You can download the template for each item individually on the product page of the item. After downloading the PDF file, you can print and cut it easily at home before you decide on a piece of jewelry.
This has two advantages:
On the one hand, you can be sure by using these templates for rings (or bracelets) that the piece of jewelry will fit and minimizes your disappointment if a piece of jewelry does not want to fit. Just put the template on and try out for yourself how different sizes feel and will look like being worn. This gives you a better idea of the proportions and the size.
Secondly, it minimizes the returns of jewelry that unfortunately don’t fit. And that minimizes our collective carbon footprint!
By trying to keep the returns as low as possible, we prevent thousands of our parcels from having to be returned, traveling on the road in delivery trucks, reducing the packaging waste and of course the return costs. In the best case, you don’t have to run to the post office to return jewelry that doesn’t fit or exchange it for another size, the flood of parcels in the logistics of our shipping partners will be reduced and we can minimize our working time in the processing of returns and put more effort into the development and production of new jewelry.
(Of course, if a piece of jewelry is defective or damaged in transit, you can always claim this to us and we will send you a new piece of jewelry or refund the purchase amount).

RINGS | SIZE GUIDE
In the EU, the ring size is determined by the circumference of the finger or the inner circumference of the ring.
Example:
If you have a ring size of 54, it means that the inner circumference of your ring is 54 mm. If you divide this ring size by pi (3.14), you get the inner diameter.
So, for a ring size of 54 (U), the inner diameter is approximately 17.2 mm.
So much for the theory.
In practice, determining the exact ring size can be a challenge.
Three factors influence your ring size or the determination of the ring size:
(1) Which finger should the ring be worn on?
For most people, the ring finger is narrower than the index finger. If you have a ring that fits you well – wonderful! Then you can measure it.
But the ring you will order, must be worn on the same finger on which this ring fits you.
So if you want to buy a ring for a different finger, you need a different ring size and have to determine it first.
(2) The measuring method
The diameter (inner diameter!) of a ring can only be determined very roughly with common tools you have at home because the diameter is not only measured in millimeters but also in tenths of a millimeter. However, most rulers, tape measures, or meter sticks only have a millimeter scale. So if you measure something ‘between 17 and 18 millimeters’, there are already several ring sizes in question.
There is only one exact method to determine the inner diameter of a ring to a tenth of a millimeter: With a caliper gauge.
However, since many people do not have a caliper at home, and since it is not easy to read the millimeters on a caliper without practice, it is not recommended to try to determine the diameter.
TIP: If you know someone who can use a caliper, ask him/her for help!
Once you have the inner diameter of the ring, you can multiply it by pi (3.14) to get the inner circumference and thus the correct ring size.
e.g. inner diameter ring: 17,2 mm x 3,14 = 54 mm = ring size 54
It is somewhat easier to determine the circumference (inner circumference) of a ring, which is why circumference was introduced as a ring size.
This is best done with a flexible tape measure, as you can easily read the millimeters.
With the tape measure, you can measure directly the circumference of your finger, on which you want to wear the ring.
However, there is another difficulty with a tape measure to determine the ring size:
(3) The width of the ring affects the ring size, even when worn on the same finger!
A narrow, elegant ring worn on the ring finger, for example, must usually have a smaller ring size to be comfortable to wear or to prevent it from sliding off the finger than a wide ring on exactly the same finger. So a wider ring usually needs to be slightly larger if it is to fit well.
The reason for this is that a wider ring will attach more to the finger than a narrower ring due to the width of the material, and therefore sits tighter on the finger.
Please keep also in mind: Your ring size can fluctuate about a half size, based on your temperature, hydration levels, hormones, etc.
BANGLE SIZE CHART
Bangle size | Inner diameter (mm) | Hand width (cm) |
18,5 | 58 mm | 18,5 cm |
20 | 64 mm | 20 cm |
22 | 70 mm | 22 cm |
BANGLES | SIZE GUIDE
Your bangle size is determined by the size of your hand and not your wrist.
To determine your bangle size, simply tuck your thumb into the palm of your hand (as if about to put on a bangle) and using tailor’s tape, measure your hand all the way around the set of knuckles closest to your wrist, from knuckle to knuckle (cm).
BRACELET SIZE CHART
Bracelet size | Inner diameter (mm) | Wrist measure (cm) |
16 | 50 mm | 16 cm |
18,5 | 58 mm | 18,5 cm |
20 | 64 mm | 20 cm |
BRACELETS | SIZE GUIDE
To determine your bracelet size, simply use a tailor’s tape, and measure all way around your wrist (cm).
If you prefer to wear your bracelet tighter, take the size that matches your wrist circumference. If you want the bracelet to be a little more loose, take one size larger.
