NAIAD | NECKLACE

  • Based on an ancient model
  • Concrete was already used in construction in ancient Rome. Many buildings and structures still standing today, such as bridges, reservoirs, and aqueducts, were built with this material, which attests to both its versatility and its durability. Romans made concrete by mixing volcanic ash with lime and seawater, the aggregates often included larger components, like gravel or recycled crushed stone.

  • We substituted these components by using recycled metal granulate such as silver, copper, or even silicon carbide to make this piece of jewelry long-lasting and strong. Like crystals in a geode, the metal pieces shimmer in the cavities formed during casting. Each piece is therefore unique, no two pendants are alike.
